Hi there, i'm new to Sound Forge and to this forum. I've got some music on a four-track, and want to record it into Sound Forge to put it onto a CD. However, I've got the panning just right on the four-track, but when I connect the four=track to the mic socket on the PC, I'm only getting a signal on the right channel and hiss on the left channel. is there anyway i can pan the music on the four track and have it panned the same way on Sound Forge. Please help!!! |

Don't use the mic input. It is for microphones only. Use the line input. -S |

Hi Tambu, Like Sreams suggested, don't use the mic input. The mic input is a mono input, meaning it only provides input for one channel. Instead use the line input, which provides for two channels (stereo). Also, in Sound Forge be sure to set up your new file as stereo too before recording. Best, Scott -- Scott R.
