Can you make a mixed mode DVD with DVDA5?

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has ever made a mixed mode DVD with DVDA5. I would like to include with my DVD some data files (ipod & psp files) that my customers can use to install on their portable video players.

I have tried to add the files to the DVD after DVDA5 is completed with the burn process, but the disc closes so no data can be added. Is there a way to leave the disc open?

You can just use Prepare in DVDA, then add whatever folders you like before burning, with a program such as Imgburn or Nero.

or

DVDA has an Extras Folder function, under File Properties - when you nominate the appropriate folder, its contents will be included in the burn, so you can have Subfolders or whatever you want inside the nominated folder.

While the Extras folder function in DVDA works, it's clunky in that you must have already created that folder on your hard drive containing all the files you want, and nothing else. This isn't always practical, and is a lot more effort than necessary especially for one-offs. We shouldn't have to go through this step.

This is yet another reason i prefer burning in Nero. Nero lets you create a virtual Extras folder at the layout time. You can drag & drop and mix & match files from anywhere on your hard drives into the Extras folder and Nero burns the disc that way without having to physically create that folder on the hard drive first.
