sorry to clog up this message board with non-Vegas related
questions but I know a few of you "know" me and figured you
might be able to lend a hand. I need really good,
professional CD-authoring software that will allow me to
make CD-Extras, adjust timing between audio tracks, make
cross-platform compatible CD's, etc.

Anyone using anything really good out there other than EZ-
CD Creator?

Thanks in advance!!

Charles.

Hey Brian -
I downloaded Nero 5.0 but it doesn't seem to be able to
burn CD-Extra (or enhanced CD) format CD's. ??? Any idea
why? I need to give a client a master which has their album
(ten songs with exactly the spacing they gave it to me
with - not 2 seconds in between each song) as the first
tracks on the cd and the Video as the cd-rom portion as the
second. i.e. audio first, and data second. CD Creator can
do this but it forces 2 seconds between each track.

do you know what I mean and how to achieve this? The guy at
CD Creator said the only way was to have a programmer make
an image of the cd exactly as I want it and burn it as DAO
from there. But who in the hell does this?

thanks in advance.

Choose "Mixed-Mode CD" from the list.

that doesn't put the audio first. I found the solution,
though. You have to burn a DAO audio cd first and leave the
session open. Then burn a CD-XA session and finalize that.
Then you can put the CD in your cd player and have it act
like any other cd-player while also having a CD-rom portion
as well.

thanks for the advice.
Charles.

p.s. I love NERO

By the way Charles, Nero also supports multiple CDr burning
at once. So now you can start building your own duplicator
like I did. I now, own 4 Plextor 8/20's (once again thanks
for the recommendation) with another arriving next week.
Works awesome.
