Was wanting to burn my cd backup which is all on one giant .mp3. Is there an easy way to have soundforge detect the silence and automatically split up the tracks or can I only cut the segments out? |

Not sure if you mean you want to burn an audio CD or not. If so, try this: 1) Open in SoundForge (not XP) 2) Create regions by using Tools/Auto Region setting "attack sensitivity" and "minimum level" to their lowest settings. 3) Adjust and rename regions if desired 4) Use Tools/Extract Regions to save out regions to individual .WAV files 5) Burn audio CD as TAO in SF5 or DAO in CD Architect or whatever your favorite burning software is. |

What you want is a software called "Nero" by ahead software. This is the best cd burning program and easiest to use. You can drag your huge MP3 file into the playlist...no converting to .wav is necessary and then you can add track ID's however you like. It's as easy as that. This is the software I use for my CD duplicators, because it also supports multi-burners at once. regards, Brian Franz |
