I've got a great problem with some very long (60 minutes) wavfiles, because of having some very short dropouts or breaks in it! If I try to "AutoTrim" them via "remove silence between phrases" the drops are still there after processing!!! Could anyone tell me how to use this feature in the right way? I' ll process 60 minutes by one search!! Thx |

Hi Junky, In the Auto Trim/Crop function, choose the Remove Silence Between Phrases option. Then adjust the Attack and Release parameters so that your dropouts will be detected. If the dropouts are complete silence, try setting both the Attack and Release to -Inf. This might cut out some silent sections in your audio though. You'll have to experiment with these parameters. Or you might have to process smaller parts of the file individually rather than doing the whole file at once. Best, Scott -- Scott R.
