I would like to thank Sonic Foundry for the opportunity to purchase ( and I did purchase ) SF5.0 for the limited time offer of $99.00 as a downloadable product. I am a registered user of Vegas Video 2.0, Acid Pro 2.0, SF4.5XP/CD Architect and over a dozen Acid loop libraries. I was not looking for another audio editing program, (I already had Cool Edit 2000 to do 24bit) but I could not resist the $99.00 promotion. I must say that I really like the look and responsiveness of the program. It will now be my main mastering application. I can still import my final 16bit wave files into CD Architect to burn my CD. I look at it this way, the more SF can increase the installed registered user base of SF5.0, the more R&D can be allocated to improving the product for everybody. PS. On cnet.download.com(shareware site)SF5.0 has had almost 200,000 downloads of its demo in less than four weeks. I can see a lot of potential customers taking advantage of this incredible offer, which I believe benefits everybody including a future SF6.0. Just my 2 cents! Bill |

I agree with you, if I was not able to purchase this program for this price I would'nt have been able to afford it. I am also a registered user of many Sonic Foundry programs and I think they're products are great. I will continue to use them, I'm learning alot from them as well. We'll just have to work around the CD Architect thing and deal with it. Beginners have to start somewhere and this is a good break for them. Be Cool |

So, how do you get this deal? I own most of their products and am a little annoyed to find that as a loyal customer I cannot get the product for this price. |

If you are a SF customer, you should have recieved an e- mail regarding the $99 offer. If you have never provided SF with an e-mail (so they can offer you specials) then they have no way to contact you. That's how it works. If they just allowed anyone to hit their site and get the special price would that be fair to loyal SF customers? The upgrades url is https://www.sonicfoundry.com/shopping/Catalog.asp? Category=4. But, you will need to be a current SForge user ...I think. I was not a SForge user but I was able to get the 5.0 version. The only caveat is I did get an e-mail from Sonic Foundry. Also, give them a call and see if you can get the $99 price since you are a SF product user. Other than that I don't know what to tell you. Sorry. Reh |

I own several of their products, including XP4.5. Almost all were purchased in downloadable format. I do receive notes from Sonic Foundry quite regularly, but don't recall anything jumping out saying "$99!". :) |

I tried, but no dice. It insists on charging the $250 price for the XP4.5 to 5.0 no matter what I do. I guess I'll have to give them a buzz. |

Your right if you do it on line it will charge you that way, what you need to do is call them directly and they can give you a serial number over the phone. Good luck |
