Error Updating CD Architect

oscar wrote on 1/11/2000, 11:07 AM
I can't update CD Architect (version 4.0d Build 184) to new
updated version 4.0f that I downloaded from your site. The
error states: "Unable to determine previous installation's
directory." What do I do now? Email me at
GrooveAssassin@aol.com

Please do not email me at Electrogrooves@aol.com That name
has been deleted.

If your have XP 4.5 load then uninstall.

Load CD Architect

Download 4.0g

Load 4.0g

Now, don't go back and load 4.5 version blah blah blah
because you will get the "older version installed" crap.

Download XP 4.5h or the latest update

Load the XP update, with your s/n and your in business to
use CD Arch!

HOw do you just REload CD architect without Sound Forge?
i loaded it like your instructions..then uninstalled it
then i couldn't figure out how to reload CD architect
separately.
IN my version you have to have Sound Forge XP because the
CD architect runs out of it like a tool.
Please let me know how to do this.
thanks a million

I reloaded CDA w/o xp because I have a CDA disk that is
separate from XP. I just load and enter my S/N and it
loads XP4.0 with CDA. Then simply download any upgrades to
XP and load. It will ask for you XP S/N. Enter and you are
there. Open XP4.5 and under tools you will find CDA. It
works fine, I worked on vocal edits from recordings by my
digi session 8 hardware

Dude, did you read my previous response! I was able to get
around this error. You need to have the CDA disk. If you
have SF 4.0, which includes CDA as a plug in, then you are
screwed. Otherwise see my previous post.
