Subject:Acid 2.0 & Win 2000 Error

I'm having a problem with Acid Pro 2d build 168 in Win2k. The exact error reads: "An error occured while starting playback. An unsupported media type was requested." I only get the error message when I try to play Acid projects already created in Win98. The individual loops are playable in the explorer section of Acid, but wont play from the timeline. All loops are from your Acid Loops CD's. I don't get this problem if I create new projects, only when I try to play old ones. This kinda sucks, cuz I don't want to loose all my old stuff. I tried reinstalling my sound card and am using current W2K drivers, AND upgraded to Media Player 7, but it still doesn't work. My system is dual P3 700mhz, SB Live! Sound Card & 1024mb Ram. Please help. This sucks. |

just a shot in the dark Bob....but look to your soundblaster drivers. I stopped using my SBLive soundcard under W2K because I just couldn't get the drivers to work. Suggest you try uninstalling the SB card and driver and try with a different sound card. I went back to an old Yamaha Waveforce card and everything was sorted out (apart from a latency issue I now have... ;-) |
