Subject:Feature request - button to restore Output Meter

Very finickety request..

If I increase the height of a track (for example to see the pan slider or waveform detail), it would be great to have a button that snaps it back to the height that just shows the Output Meter. Currently the options are just maximize (to full trackview height), and minimize (to just the track volume and buttons), however my preferred view is Output Meter but I currently have to slide it to that height manually.

You can place the meter vertically and it will always appear.

Right click on any track or bus meter and select "Use Vertical Meters".

You can use the ` key to toggle between track heights.

You can set the default height for tracks and have it toggle back and forth.

Fantastic thanks Peter - the vertical meters on the -120db setting do the job perfectly for me (help me identify the tracks currently producing sound) and save some precious screen estate!

Where should the focus be for the ` key? It doesn't seem to have any effect for me.

Good to hear. FWIW,you can hover the mouse over the meters and use the scroll wheel to adjust as desired with out having to use a menu item.

A track or the track view.
