What is the difference between Vegas LE in the dowloadable
5.0 version and Vegas 2.0?

Let me re-phrase that question: In the LE version of vegas
w/out the mp3 save feature and the render to new track
feature will I be able to create and convert in Sound Forge
5.0 lay a continuos track down in LE with 8 layers, then
burn it to cd. So I guess I want to know if I can squash
the track LE, export it back to sound forge, convert back
to mp3, and burn. I use Nero now to burn Cds. I know that
this is not the most hoppin forum out there but I would
appreciate an answer from any Vegas user that uses mp3 save
and render to track, or a Sound Forge Admin: Ted.

Hello,

You could do most of that, but Sound Forge won't burn an
mp3 to CD. You would have to use a wav file to burn to a
CD.

Thanks Ted you seem to get around this forum pretty well,
which is a determining factor for me when I purchase
product from anywhere. I have Nero, It came with my TDK
Velo which supports burning in both wav and mp3. I am
somewhat familiar with your product (owner of 4.5xp) All of
my music so far is either downloaded off the net or burned
into my hd from my personal cd collection. I want to loop,
cut, paste, layer, eventually use a
synth/turntable/microphone/any outside source, and burn one
long ole' coninious track. This is how I understand it to
work. I will do most of my editing in SF5 and most of my
arranging in Vegas LE and then your saying that I can burn
from Vegas LE in wav with your software to my TDK - or if I
want it as an mp3 transport it back to SF5 and save as Mp3
then pick the continuos track up in Nero and burn from
there? And I understand from reading these forums (because
I can't find it on my 4.5xp) that CD Artitech is Sound
Forge's own form of Nero, which I assume is conviently
accessed from the SF program instead of heading out to the
desktop for another means to burn? Or does CD Arcitech do
something else that I can't get with Nero and I have to
purchase it along with SF5 to have a complete package.
Thanks again Ted for making this forum work and I look
forward to anyone's response.
