I want to take an individual's voice track for a script and use the characteristics of that voice for a different script by the same person. Is this possible with SF? |

You could compare the two with spectrum analysis and emulate the spectral content of the source with EQ on the target. But it won't change one voice into another - just the a consistant overall 'feel'. geoff Message last edited on6/2/2009 4:02:46 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

As someone who voices scripts for a living, I sincerely hope it's impossible! |

Possible, but not entirely so in SF. You'd also need the help of a TC Electronics Powercore and a couple of it's plug-ins - Assimilator (which allows you to duplicate the eq of a particular track on another) and Voice Modeler (which allows you to radically change a voice from one type to another - i.e. male to female and other voice characteristics). However, if you're trying to match the acoustic signature of the actual space and not the vo talent's voice itself, you'd need a convolution reverb processor to do that. Jack |
