I think they are traveling a slippery slope going the "web-
based content" route. While SF hasn't totally adbandoned
music it sure hasn't put much effort into it. I do like
the new additions to SF 5.0 but I still go back to what I
used before, another company's editor.

A small word of advice: keep your eye on Syntrillium this
year! You may end up dumping SF altogether.

In fact, not ONE person here has mentioned Cool Edit Pro
once! I take it you guys really haven't looked at it.
Don't let the name fool you! It offers a HELL of a lot
more than SF.

I already dropped it and went to using CEP. I'm very
happy. And, now that all three XFX plug-ins are available
for less than $100, you can pretty much get all you need
using CEP (including noise reduction, which cost a lot of
extra $ to get in SF). The rumor mill also says that CEP
will be even better later this year when the new version
hits the street. I suspect it will be even more of a
combination of Vegas and SF. On a good note, I still like
using Acid Pro and Stream Anywhere.
