Ok, after airing my opinions here publicly I decided to be a good boy and play fair, so I posted the beta team with my suggestions and comments...havn't heard a word back, have you? You know it was just a short time ago that SOFO ran a great public test of Vegas...the beta team response was awesome and the results showed it. I still think Vegas is truly elegant and by far the easiest app on the audio market. Geez it sucks to be a professional that likes to use a product from a company run by ____________(your description here). |

Hello, I'm sure that the engineering group has received your suggestions. You probably received an auto-reply stating this. If you did not receive an auto-reply, you may try sending the message again to betasf@sonicfoundry.com. Please understand that there are literally hundreds of e- mails coming in every day and we must address the problems first. Ted |

Actually the engineering group is really good here as far as response goes and have responded to many of my suggestions. I think instead of posting the beta email address, that the engineers read, you need to post the management peoples email address's. You know, the bosses of the engineers. The engineers can only bring the suggestions that everyone requests and highly recommend development in these areas. It's their bosses that actually decide where money is gonna be spent and what is going to be developed and the direction the software is gonna go. The engineers basically have their hands tied until these guys give the ok to develop these ideas. The engineers actually monitor these forums on a regular basis and already know what everyone wants. It's the other dumbass management that look at the money side and make decisions without listening to the customer...ie "the real customer", not the crystal ball forecasted customer. So give us these guys email address, maybe if they get a few hundred customers screaming at them in their email, they'll realize the mistakes they're making. Believe me on this, it wasn't an engineer who decided to put an end to CD architect. There's nothing more an engineer enjoys more than to see everyone use his creation and having everyone enjoy using it. It actually becomes real humbling when they take his creation and say.."sorry we're not gonna develop that any longer, because we want to go in a different direction". So give us the real emails Ted!!! |

Good point. Although I of course have no detailed information whatsoever about SF's personnel retention and empoyment, by my math approximately 4 out of 10 people who were working at SF when Vegas was being beta-tested are no employed there any longer. Maybe everyone who was released was simply unnecessary dead wood, but I doubt it. |

Ted, I've never received ANY sort of reply, automated or otherwise. Hey my friend, let's just assume that most of us here know about deadlines and pressure, and I'm sympathtic to you and your team...and the very real frustration you all must be going through right now. I mean I havn't seen such a unanimous outpouring of negativite response to a release EVER! Maybe you guys DO need to help us get to the right division in your org by throwing up another EM link. It's obvious by now that the users out here are not going away for awhile on this issue. |

Hi Brian, The betasf@sonicfoundry.com e-mail address goes to the engineers, their bosses, and various other people in the company. When you use that e-mail address, I assure you that your voice is being heard. Ted |
