Subject:Static Hiss Sound

44,100hz / 16 bit / Mono wave files. Converting to
Dialogic *.vox file... 8000hz / 4 bit / mono / ADPCM I
can''t seem to get rid of a hiss (static) sound that
emulates from the end of each spoken word. Anyone have any
suggestions???

Wow 4 bit!!!. Sorry I never used that file format, but if
you're converting from 16 bit to 4 bit, and down to a
sampling rate of only 8Khz, I would feel lucky if that's
the only side effect that you're hearing.
