Hey I'm trying to find out information about MIDI files, where they come from, how do you get them and so forth (kind of a noob when it comes to this stuff) and was curious if their is a particular site or book I can look this information up on (particularly a website so I don't have to save money).

If you google MIDI, you will be able to find a lot of free midi files.

For general info on Midi, try this.

... and to get exactly what you want, you can create them in Acid.
