Subject:VST plugin settings in SF 9 not recalled

Hello- I've been experiencing a problem where VST plugin settings are not recalled when you select the same plugin twice in SF 9e. For example, open a file, select a VST plugin, change the settings on the plugin and apply the plugin to the file. Now select that same VST plugin again; the settings are all back to their defaults. The old DX plugins in Sound Forge all remembered their last-used settings. Having the plugins remember their settings is an invaluable feature to me, as it allows the same plugin effect to be easily applied to any file I open in a session, or to use the same plugin multiple times per file. I do realize there is the workaround of saving out the plugin settings and then reloading those settings, but that adds a minimum of two operations per use of a plugin that I didn't have to perform previously. This is very harmful to my workflow in Sound Forge, unfortunately. Anyone have a similar experience? Thanks- Zak |

Same here. I believe this to be "normal". I agree it is annoying. A possible work-around, I think "Edit> Repeat" functions with VSTs though. ( I do not have access to SF at this moment so I can't check for sure) |

Nope, the Edit->Repeat ... feature does not remember the settings either, it just applies the previously used VST effect with the plugin's default settings. |
