Subject:Help with simple effect (I think)

I have a vocal phrase "KaBoom" and all I'm trying to do is repeat the "Ka" several times for a stutter effect..."KaKaKaKaBoom". There has to be an easier and more precise way to do this than slice the "Ka" part and repeatedly paste it into the track, right? What am I overlooking?

Yes - I'm pretty new to Acid.
Thanks for any help.

Hey Todd, what your talking about it a Delay effect.

The way I woudl do it =

Cut the Ka away from the Boom. Apply an effect to the track by clicking the funny little 'green jigsaw piece thing' near the volume slider. Add a delay effect. There should be something on the delay somewhere to 'tempo sync.' If not adjust the 'time' until you are happy. Then apply a wet/dry mix of probably 50 per cent.
Backon hte timeline, drag you 'Boom' to where you want it.

There are toher ways but this should be the easiest.

The Chopper tool makes this easy to do. It is straightforward to do use the chopper, but if you get stuck there are many users here that can help you with some tricks and advise.

Thank you both so much for the replies. Regarding the Chopper...I've read that the Chopper makes this very effect easy to do, but I'm having a hard time actually executing it. Any specific guidance will be much appreciated.

It can be done in the timeline too. Again, cut away the KA part. (put cursor in correct place and right click <chose split track at cursor). Highlight the new KA segment. Copy that, then you can Paste it as many time as you want where ever you want.
