Subject:Any normalization tips?

I am trying to get all my tracks to approximately the same
volume leve. Is there any optimum setting to normalize a
track to, like to normalize using rms first and then to
peak? If so, what should I set the rms values to? What
are the attack and release levels suppose to be at? Thanks.
