Simple: Get a MIDI interface if you don't already have one. Hook it up to your computer and keyboard (read the interface manual and your keyboard's manual) via MIDI cables. Some MIDI keyboards have a USB connection that can be used for connecting to a computer - that can be used instead of a MIDI hookup. Then read the Acid manual, access the help file, or get a third-party book on Acid to go further. Manufacturer's documentation is your friend. Jack |

Thanks Jack for the reply, I have aTascam 1884 interface board and a Roland RD-300SX Keyboard all connected, with midi connected from keys to Tascam and firewire to my PC Quad Cor i 7 intel 12 gig of DDR ,, I have Nuendo and the Keyboard and VST's all work great to a point, and I've had the Sony Acid 7.0 .... I'm recording my drums with Addictive Drums and I have SampleTank and All of the Guitar and Bass from IK Multimedia like Amplitube and the Hendrix and metal amps. Trying to find a good way to lay down some track for original but both programs give me a hard time due to lack of knowledge with both systems but i have a good understanding of most process. I need a good direct way in Sony to click my way so the key work SampleTank so I can lay down some bass lines and keys. looking for something in all the wrong places. |

Not sure if your problem is artistic (how do I make a funky track in Acid with Sampletank) or procedural (how do I make a track in Acid with Sampletank). The former is something no one can really help you with. The latter is something we can help with, although the best way for that is to start with the resources you already have - Sony and Sampletank documentation and their respective help files. Particularly if your looking for step-by-step info on the basics. Sadly there doesn't appear to be any third-party material on Acid 7 (books for one). There are books for Acid 6 and earlier though. Sony has dvd seminar stuff for Acid 7, but there's some controversy over whether it has everything that is in 7 or just the new stuff different from earlier versions. Jack |
