Thanks for your latest response, Brian. We apparently do only have what comes with 4.5 as the standard noise reduction, and I'm hoping to get the DirectX 2.0 very soon, after checking it out in 'products' and listening to the audio samples that were available. Your advice did work well even with my standard version, though. What kind of 40's music were you working on? novice moron upgraded to nincompoop, Bill Wheatley |

Actually, it wasn't really any music, except for a few mandolin solos. It was mostly family stuff, where the family recorded messages to someone stationed in war overseas, I'm not even sure what war it was. I've also used this plugin working for attorneys. I had a police car video tape and the audio on the survelance camera was very bad because of bad grounding and it was filled with that engine noise wine. It doesn't work very well on this kind of noise reduction because, the frequencies of the noise kept changing with the engine speed. But the attorneys were willing to spend a lot of time trying to salvage whatever they could. How many times do you get to charge an attorney instead of vice versa :-)? |
