Your video card has next to nothing to do with it.
What's your CPU?
What kind of footage?
What's your Preview window set to?
How many hard drives do you have?

What file format are you working with and at what resolution...
Your video card has nothing to do with that.

Make sure that your project properties match your media properties (eg. 1080-60i, 1440x1080 - or whatever the case may be).

In Vegas Pro 9, try disabling the option "Adjust Size and Quality for Optimal Playback". Lastly, check this article for more suggestions.

What's your CPU?
AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600+ Brisbane 1.9GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Dual-Core Processor. I have 4 gig of ram

What kind of footage? AVI from captured video

What's your Preview window set to? Not sure. Do you mean the size?

How many hard drives do you have? I have 2. One is 80 gig and the other is 250 gig. The video is on a external hard drive that has worked just fine on a previous computer.

I´m having this problem at the transition fade.
I´m using HDV 1440x1080 60i. I have a QuadCore 2.4Ghz and 8Gb Ram, using Vista 64bits. Runing the new Vegas Pro 9.0 64bits
Is the HDV m2t so hard to edit? It appears to be the same that edit mpg. Is that correct?
