Mike, The 32bit version is asking for username and password. Any idea what is could be? I could download the 64bit version and Production Assistant

Only Vegas 9 does.

...and what serial # would you use?
Jay Gladwell wrote on 5/11/2009, 6:17 AM

Yes, I'm logged in, but it doesn't work.

jrazz wrote on 5/11/2009, 6:17 AM
The 64 bit version is active.

I would highly recommend the Production Assistant. Download it and play with it. I have been thoroughly impressed with it. At first I didn't think I would use it that much for the type of work I do, but it is great!

Your current serial # for Vegas.

I was logged into the forum with cookies enabled. No dice, just some Microsoft IIS kick-back with the forum credentials attempted.

It'll be ready, and seemingly today too.

I can feel myself pacing up and down in the waiting room while rolling the cigar between my thumb and first finger :)

Correction:

The 64bit and Production Assistant files start without challenge

Interesting. Under "My software", each upgrade I've done...from V6 to V7 and from V7 to V8, it shows a different serial #.

Downloading now but have to scoot to work in a few so I won't be able to install til this pm.

I've had a similar problem, not with downloads though.

Just in case, if you've ever changed your password try the password you used when you first created an account here.

Bob.

I can't get anything to work.

Under the link RBartlett provided, you can download the 32bit version if you use the mirror link.

Closed browser and opened a new one. It's downloading now...

My Account shows no Upgrade to Pro 9 under My Software and no order under My Orders. When I placed the order, I received no confirmation from Sony, but I wasn't worried because it seemed several others had mentioned that they also received no confirmation.

Should I be worried now?
Jay Gladwell wrote on 5/11/2009, 6:35 AM

No. Have you tried to download v9?

InterceptPoint wrote on 5/11/2009, 6:36 AM
RBartlett link above works. Download of 64 bit OK. Installation OK. Trial registration OK. Launched 64 bit trial version: ITS RUNNING!!!!!

If you go to the upgrade page, it says 12th of May :-(

Lucky guys!

Have upgraded to IE 8 and since that most of my downloads - and now also that one from Sony - do not work.
Will power up my laptop - it still has the old IE 7 that works.
drmathprog wrote on 5/11/2009, 6:42 AM
Yes, I just tried downloading. In the authentication step, my user name and password (Version 8 Pro serial number), don't pass muster, and I can't download.
InterceptPoint wrote on 5/11/2009, 6:43 AM
I would just download the trial version and worry about serial numbers later. It worked for me.
drmathprog wrote on 5/11/2009, 6:45 AM
I see only version Vegas Pro 8.0c under Download Trials.
Tom Pauncz wrote on 5/11/2009, 6:47 AM
Trial installed and running. Just love the new interface colours!
