I have a midi profomance of a piano that i recorded on Acid 7 b.
It shows the damper pedal info on the track along with the note info.
When i save it as a midi file and play it back with windows meda player its fine .
When i put the midi file back into Acid 7 the damper pedal info is missing.
It wont let me add it eather.
Under envolopes there is no setting for damper pedal info to be found.
What am i doing wrong ??

Thanks Frog

I don't use Acid for recording (have Sonar 8 for that), but the MIDI message you're looking for is decimal 64 which is the hold/sustain pedal, aka damper pedal in piano terms. Can you indeed see that in your MIDI file and do you have Acid set to respond to MIDI controller 64 messages and not have them filtered out? Some programs can be set to ignore certain MIDI controllers to lighten the load on the MIDI stream and hence the computer system.

Right click on the time line event of the track.

Select "Create Envelopes from Clip" and select either
"Create all envelopesfrom clip" or select the specific controller you want to create envelopes/keyframes from.

You can also load a MIDI File as a project. This will import all CC data and create envelopes, keyframes, and tempo/key markers that are contained in the MIDI file.
