Print to Tape Problem

I have a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV310 Digital 8 camera and a
Sony VAIO computer. I installed your sony driver fix in the
video capture's extras folder and when I open video capture
and try to open a file it doesn't show up in the clip
explorer. It does show up in the preview window and it does
play but the print to tape button doesn't highlight and It
wont preview on the camera so i can't just push the record
button.

Only captured clips show up in the clip explorer and you
should save the Video Capture project file so the next time
you run it it auto loads the last project and therefore any
logged clips. It seems like you don't have device control,
is your device listed on the Video menu as "Microsoft DV
Camera and VCR"? Can you use Video Capture's transport
buttons to remotely control the device? What version do you
have?

Anyone know how to do this, or is it impossible?

1. Click on View dropdown menu then checkmark each window
you want.

You will notice the TABS at lower left of work screen.
Click and hold left mouse button on tab then drag that tab
to where you want it, then click on any tab taht you want
to appear there. Preview window should reappera where it
originally was since program was new.

I had the same question and Ted Hoch of SF told me:
"If you place your mouse over the double bar on the left
side of the window, you can click and hold your left mouse
button and move the mouse to "tear" the window from the
main Video Factory window."
It worked for me.
