Subject:Help with setting up multiple inputs and speakers

I have a setup with 24 input channels...
which are sent to...
4 busses that group the instruments (guitar, bass, voice, keyboard)..
which go out through....
the master speakers
and get sent through different speakers depending on instrument (i.e bass-sub)....
3 other buses (foldback 1, foldback 2, sub woffa)

Is this the best setup - because at the moment I have to mute 4 speakers at once to stop the sound.
Is it possible to run them through a master bus?
