Here is what happens:
I open Acid pro 7
I click open and choose my instrumental I need to use.
I beatmap the track
I chose all 3 choice at the end of the beatmapping
I listen to track
I click record (presets are set to record new track when no track is selected)
The track pops up and I can see the white bar with the 2 lines then I sing and I can see my waves.
If I don't like it, I delete or cut the track.
I click record again and this time I the music plays but it is not recording, if I let it go I will see the record start from the beginning, but the music is ahead. So that means that if I start singing it records from the beginning of the track instead of where I need it to.

I do check to make sure that the record buttun has been pressed and it is. I make sure that it says in on the track. I make sure there it is not set to mute or anything.

I have windows vista-32 bit
Presonus audiobox USB
I have it set to sound mapper (if I set it to my audio box it will not record at all)

Have the latest drivers for the AudioBox?

Get the latest update for ACID Pro 7?

You should be using the AudioBox's ASIO drivers if possible. Can you give us an idea on what the signal flow is if possible since you mentioned you cannot record at all using the AudioBox's drivers?

(It should be something on the idea of instrument > AudioBox > USB to computer for recording > headphone/monitor outs to headphones/monitors.)

Yes I have all the latest drivers for both.

I am unsure if this is what your referring to but here it goes.

Instrumental>Soundmapper>Audiobox

I really am unsure if that is what was being looked for. But the record doesn't start on multiple tracks until the instrumental is about 5-10 second into it, but record starts at the beginning.

An example of signal flow (in my case) would be:

My guitar > guitar effects processor > audio interface (using ASIO drivers) > hardware mixer > headphones and monitors

I suspect the weak link here is the driver model you're using for the AudioBox. You should be using ASIO if at all possible. If you happen to choose your AudioBox's drivers, what happens exactly? You should be able to choose the proper outputs for playback and inputs for recording.

I have downloaded the ASIO drivers previously. How do I choose to use them. I thought that they automatically updated and were replaced.
