Subject:Acid 7 and midi recording/editing with metronome

I managed to start recording some midi drums by tapping in real time in Acid. They manage to record and while recording midi I can get the metronome clicking. However, when I go to edit the recorded hits in the midi edit window I cannot get the metronome to tick while I am editing the midi parts or overdubbing second midi part. Is it possible to do that? I seem to have hell of a time to align a drum part when not hearing the metronome timing. |

You mean the clip properties window for the event (or clip) or inline MIDI editing? In both cases, as long as the metronome is active, you should still hear it during playback. Iacobus |

Clip properties window. Basically my midi editing has been derived from my experience with Cubase where you have the drum maps where you can edit and play back the whole project at the same time. In the CLip Properties window you can only play the clip if not mistaken, not the whole thing. Is there a way that I can edit individual midi hits in the track view (main project) window? |

Is there a way that I can edit individual midi hits in the track view (main project) window? Use In-line MIDI editing mode. You can then use drum maps and voice mappings. Peter |
