From what I can tell it (Sound Forge 9) runs the user interface in a separate process from the effects. This means that it is technically multi-core/multi-processor capable but it probably doesn't help much. It's possible that some or all of the effects can use multi-core/multi-processor systems but I haven't been able to confirm this. Sound Forge 9 is the only one that I've bothered to find out about. |

I ask because my Adobe Premiere Elements evidently uses dual cpu as it reports that it has detected dual cpu on startup and wondered about SF. tnx, |

Anything in particular you want verifying? Processing, viewing etc>? Or just an overview, general yes/no answer? |

What about <ctrl><alt><del>'ing to the task manager and check the cpu usage in the performance tab as you do a processor intensive operation. Going by this, my SF 9.0e appears to use both processors. Though I know this isn't exactly conclusive proof, but you can trust XP - can't you ;-) |

I wonder if there are just some effects that use more than one cpu or if they all do. I know some third party VST and DirectX plugins state that they are multi-cpu capable while others don't seem to be. |
