Subject:Frontier Designs Tranzport - a few questions

Hi, I've added a Frontier Designs Tranzport device to Acid Pro 7 and it works really well. However, there are a few niggles that I'd like to raise. I may be missing something obvious, but I've spotted the following: - using the jog wheel only advances/rewinds the cursor by a very small amount, so you have to spin it like crazy to make any headway through a song. Would it be possible to add a configuration option to set how fast this scroll action would move through the track? The ideal solution, I think, would be for it to be based on the zoom resolution. So if you zoom all the way out it should take around 5 turns, say, to move through the entire song. Then if you zoom in, it should take 5 turns to zoom a similar amount at the current zoom level. Similarly, it takes a huge number of turns to adjust the volume/pan/etc. of a track when holding down shift. - the rewind and fast forward buttons don't appear to do anything. If you hold down shift they jump to the beginning/end of the song - which is what the documentation says will happen. However, if you don't press shift the docs say it will rewind or fast forward, but I'm not seeing anything happen when I use them without shift pressed. - the track up/down buttons work fine, but it would be really good if the Tranzport updated when you manually selected a track (either with the mouse or cursor keys) within Acid itself. So if, for instance, you were currently on Track 1 and Tranzport was showing the details for track 1, then you clicked with the mouse on track 13, it would be great if the Tranzport recognised that and also jumped to track 13. Currently it stays at track 1 and you have to use the track up/down buttons on the Tranzport itself to adjust what it's editing. - every time you start Acid you have to re-enable"Options...External Control". Would it be possible to remember this setting across sessions? Message last edited on4/9/2009 4:38:34 PM byChrispy. |

Same thing happens with my Behringer BCF2000...would like to know if there's a setting I"m missing to not have to activate the External Control setting everytime. |
