Sonic Staff, If I buy the Soft Encode 5.1, can an audio Dolby Digital CDR or CDRW that has be burned (Adaptec EZCD CREATOR DELUXE) and encoded (SOFT ENCODE 5.1) be played back on any specific DVD-Players or Recievers? For instance, can I play a Dolby Digital CDR through a CDplayer (via optical out) to a dolby digital receiver? Or, can I play a Dolby Digital CDR through a dolby digital DVDplayer (via optical or coaxial) to a dolby digital receiver? IF Soft Encode can make a file that can burned and played back by the method above, what component options do I have? For example, should I buy Sony, Pioneer, Phillips, etc...DVD or CD, receiver, decoder, etc...??? What components won't work? Thanks |

Hello. Unfortunately we do not support this. We just write the software, for more information you would have to contact each hardware manufacturer, see what limitations their hardware has, etc... The Soft Encode will definitely encode files into the Dolby Digital standard, anything after that is up to the users discretion and personal knowledge. Thanks! bret wrote: >>Sonic Staff, >> >>If I buy the Soft Encode 5.1, can an audio Dolby Digital >>CDR or CDRW that has be burned (Adaptec EZCD CREATOR >>DELUXE) and encoded (SOFT ENCODE 5.1) be played back on any >>specific DVD-Players or Recievers? >> >>For instance, can I play a Dolby Digital CDR through a >>CDplayer (via optical out) to a dolby digital receiver? >> >>Or, can I play a Dolby Digital CDR through a dolby digital >>DVDplayer (via optical or coaxial) to a dolby digital >>receiver? >> >>IF Soft Encode can make a file that can burned and played >>back by the method above, what component options do I have? >>For example, should I buy Sony, Pioneer, Phillips, >>etc...DVD or CD, receiver, decoder, etc...??? >> >>What components won't work? >> >>Thanks |
