I'm into sound. Alot of sound. AES/EBU. SPDIF. Analog. Selling the M.A.P.2000, etc. for Sonic here in Texas. My problem: Okay, I am trying to 'encode' some sort of surround sound with my system and need to know what else I need to make it all work! Any brain storming to help me will be greatly appreciated! I have Win NT with a digisuite DTV, editing on Premiere for now. I have a sound blaster platinum with SPDIF I/O and am trying to figure out how to monitor, let alone, import an ac3 into the program. Is there an editing solution other than Avid that will do this? Will Avid even do this?! Tell me if this is correct. I take a few loops and import them into Soft Encode. Encode them into AC3 and monitor on either an AC3 receiver or AC3 capable Cambridge Sound Works computer AC3 speaker set-up. After encoding, how do I output to tape? Or DVD for that matter? Is it still a matter of having to buy Sonic Solutions DVD authoring set-up that let's you 'burn' multitracks onto DVD? If nothing else, if ANYONE is encoding surround, ANY info to actually talk to them would be GREATLY helpful!!! Thanks! - Dusty |
