Subject:Sound Forge can't hear music from PC

I recently traded Vista for XP Pro. I have Sound Forge 7.0 on a system with plenty of power, but I can't record. I tried looking in Control Panel/Sounds, but can't get Sound Forge to "see" the audio signal.

More info is needed. Are you trying to record sounds generated by your computer or trying to record outside audio coming in? If the former, maybe your soundcard has a "record what you hear" option. Some onboard soundcards have that option.
