Subject:Copy and paste question

Hi all,

Could someone please explain the following. When you first paste audio which has been copied from the chopper into the track view, you always end up with an empty event/clip? This happens most of the time in Acid Music Studio 7. I always have to right click on the empty event in the track view and then choose the name of the media file that it was pasted from. I'm not trying to paste into a different track then the one I have the media file on. I just would like to be able to select audio in the chopper window, copy to the clipboard and paste it into the track view as in previous versions

Hmm...looks like a bug as I can confirm. (Using ACID Pro 7 here.) However, pressing C seems to bring up the clip you wanted to copy from the Chopper...at least on the same track

I cannot paste from the Chopper onto, say, a fresh track without first copying or moving either the original file it's referencing from or, say, a portion of the original file onto the fresh track.

Steps (for original bug):

- Select a portion of audio in the Chopper. Press Ctrl + C.

- Click somewhere on the timeline (for the same track you used the Chopper with). Press Ctrl + V. Blank clip. Press C. Shows the audio you wanted.

Steps for my bug:

- Do the same as above but instead create a new audio track and copy the Chopper clip there. You get a blank clip as before. Pressing C does not show the audio you wanted from the Chopper.

- Copy or move the original audio from the originating track to the new audio track. Select the blank audio copied from the Chopper. Press C. The desired audio now shows.

Thank you for confirming this in Acid Pro and in such detail. That's exactly what happens to me with Acid Music Studio. I thought I was doing something wrong, or really missing something. Like you said, pressing C on the empty clip will display the desired clip along with it's wave form, but this seems like it should be unnecessary. Hopefully some one from Sony will see this and look into the issue.
