It seems like every couple of days AP7 just ruins my life. The past few days, when working with midi instruments, ive been getting loads of rewire.dll failures or something. Then my midi dies, then my whole computer dies, happened three or four times now. Anyone shed some light? Im starting to think AP7 might be justoo unreliable? But everyone else seems to say its quite stable? |

Please fill out your system specs in your user profile and make sure they are exposed. Could you be more specific in which MIDI instruments you are using? What do you mean by your "midi dies" and your "whole computure dies". Can you describe in detail what is happening and what you are doing when things die? The rewire.dll msg is a result of a crash, it does not mean that rewire has anything to do with the problem. Peter |

Hey Peter thanks for the reply. Im getting sick of this, ACID seems to be slowly but surely ruining my computer. Didnt realise I had to tick a box to display them, it should be there now. Okay its with the garritan Aria that comes with AP7. Its fully registered and everything so that shouldnt be a problem. Now, ive got, in this example, five audio tracks, and three midi tracks running from Garritan Aria. When i press play, I get no MIDI playback. So i go into preferences and reset the ASIO drivers. I press play again, no MIDI, and error comes up saying have to close the prgram etc. Then iget four error boxes that say something like REWIREDLL. failure. And sometimes I get a bigger box with a huge long error crash report thing. I do this about three times, and then ACID just freezes, and my computer freezes, and I need to force a restart. After ive restarted, ive come back into ACID, and half of my audio tracks have randomly been sped up to double time, and I cant fix it. EDIT: Just happened again, here is what I get. - Error box saying ACID needs to be shutdown. - .Portable\ReWireDLL.cpp(893) : VERIFY failure - .Portable\ReWireDLL.cpp(895) : VERIFY failure - .Portable\ReWireDLL.cpp(1208) : VERIFY failure - .Portable\ReWireDLL.cpp(3544) : VERIFY failure And a selection of my audio has been sped up. When i use the beatmapper to slow the audio backdown, this crash happened again. EDIT 2 : Okay, now it has deleted ALL of the audio in my track. Im just getting white boxes with no waveforms in them. What is going on? A few days work wasted? EDIT 3: Finally managedto beatmap all my audio, all my audio is back to normal. Message last edited on3/27/2009 10:05:51 AM byAdji. |
