Subject:high-freq sound when track is armed

Hi,

I'm trying for the first time to record directly to my computer using ACID and an A/D interface (Lexicon Omega). I can get good levels and all, but any time I arm a track to record on ACID, I get a steady, low-volume, high-frequency sound that ends up on the recorded track. I tried various physical things--like different mic cords, different power outlet, different headphones, etc.--but it's still there.

When it's not armed, and I'm just monitoring input, the sound is not there; as soon as I arm it, though, it's there. Any ideas on what it is, or best yet, how to get rid of it?

Thanks!

Not sure what's going on there. How is the Omega going into your computer? USB?

Sound like an issue with the Omega or driver.

Do check that in it's driver applet that any unused digital inputs ( SPDIF ?) are checked OFF. Dunno if the case with the Omega, but my Audiofile 2496 does weird things with SPDIF enable and I am using a different sample rate on anything else.
