Subject:acid pro7 midi keyboard jam

hi,
when i try to record playback of the 313 i have this problem.the first note is recorded and the level indicator peaks,but then freezes(does not drop away)and subsequent played notes do not register or record.in short it keeps jamming and only a few notes are recorded.
i am using the novation nio 2|4 interface ,and new dual core athlon pc with 1.5gb ram.
does anyone know what needs tweaking?
