Hi, I'm new to the forums, but I have been using ACID Music Studio for a while now. Since I am getting my laptop wiped, I installed the software on another computer, a desktop.

Now, I noticed that on the desktio I am using now, it does not have all the MIDI instruments my laptop had. Some instruments sound identical to others. Not only are some of the regular instruments missing, whenever I try to add drums, I just get a piano sound, or a different sound depending on the drum kit. Now I am unable to use any sort of drumming instruments in my music (aside from .wav files)

I reinstalled the software, installed the patch, and even restarted my computer, but how do I get those MIDI instruments?

acid 7 pro?

you have to change the channel to 10 on the left hand side of the track window.

Please fill out your system specs in your user profile and mark it to be visible.

Could you be specific in what "MIDI Instruments" you want to get?

How are your trying to add drums?

Do projects you created on your previous machine play as expected?

Did you ever load in new DLS sound sets?

Did you install the media that is part of ACID Music Studio on your new machine?

If you could provide a simple step by step that you do and what happens vs what you want to happen, that would be useful.

Peter

I just purchased Acid 7 and am having the same problem as well. None of the demo songs work right out the box without resetting the midi channels to 10 on each track. To add I can't locate any of the DLS sound banks either.

I have Sony Vegas 8, Soundforge 9, Sonar 6 and none of them where a pain to install and get working the way Acid has been. Just the registration of each plug in was a pain in the butt. Frustrating.

Can you answer the questions I asked of the orginal poster?

Can you provide me with the name of a specific demo project you are loading that is causing you a problem?

Thanks
Peter
