Hi All,....I was using Acid Pro 6 for a month or so before I was Placed in the Broadjam 6Pack Comp...and won a bunch of software which included Acid 7.....in Pro 6...I could happily Split a Sample/Clip/Loop anywhere along a tracks timeline....and raise or lower the Pitch on any side of the Split At Curser...anywhere along the track...and on any Item. In Acid 7....the first thing I noticed was ....if I attempt this manouver now...The Whole Track Changes Pitch...eh ?...Huh!....could someone tell me what I've missed ?....when I right click on the Track Header....Nr the bottom of menue....I can see Pitch Change Track......when I right click on the Item/Clip on the track...I can see down the menue a little..Pitch Change....so it all looks fine...But Both of These Selections....DO THE SAME...Pitch Change The Whole Track. Thank You All in Anticipation. Ian. |

thats weird. usually if you highlight a specific clip you can press either - or + keys to change the pitch. But that only does one octave. Unless you go through pitchshift menu after right clicking then you can do like -0.75 or +2.25, as an example. But im sure you probably already knew that. |

Hi Rusty,...Thanks for the reply....Yeah....that SHOULD be the case....but on my new Pro7....IT AINT....lol I've tried contacting Sony...a guy called Steve Foldvari...only contadt I had.....told Him my Problem.....and He said He would pass it on to the Techies....but so far....no reply. iIf your using Pro 7 Rusty....try puting a Loop/Sample up on a new track....split it at the curser...anywhere.....then try and raise one side of the split....say a couple semitones......and let me know what happens..eh.?...OK Bud Thanks....Ian. |

Check out the new version 7.0b, just released. The release notes mention a fix that may be relevant for you: "Pitch shifting a single audio event no longer pitch shifts the entire track." |
