Subject:New third party VST Plugins do not show up

Hello all and thanx in advance to anyone who takes the time to answer my questions.

I am the proud owner of Acid pro 6d and I run it on a laptop that is dedicated to just Acid. The operating version is Vista home, Duo core 1.8ghz AMD Turion, 150 gig drive of which 121 is left. The unit also sports 4 gig"O" ram.

Now to the problem.
I just loaded a number of Amplitube programs. They loaded fine and can all be seen in the program files VST Plugin folder. They launch perfectly on their own (Just not in Acid). I launch Acid and I see on the screen, as it loads the settings, all the Amplitube plugins are also loading. Cool so far. The page opens and I go to insert-assignable effects and.............nothing. I then go to Options-preferences-vst effects and there is nothing in the available effects area. I do a refresh and all the effects do a load thing but none of them show up in the "available as audio plugins area". I go to the instruments tab and check it out and low and behold one of my effects are loaded as a soft synth. It is a keyboard/ synthesizer effect plugin. Why does that show up but not my bass and guitar effects? I hope I have been as succinct as possible and if you need any other information please ask. Thank you all again. Dah Snout.......or just Snout for short. Be cool.
