Subject:Removing Wind from Backround? Please HELP!

Hello everyone,
This is my first post here, I am usually over on the Vegas Pro forum but I am having a major problem with one of my projects.
I filmed a video of my self talking to the camera at about 2-3 meters away. I am an idiot and didn't have the external mic I bought at the right setting (I have a Sony CX-12 Camera and had the little mic on 'Gun' instead of Zoom) so there is a lot of wind and back round noise like construction, people talking, etc... I was in front of the Venetion here in Las Vegas and can't refilm without being arrested. (hehehehe)
I have Sony Sound Forge Studio 9 that came in a platinum pro pack that I bought, I also have the Cinescore that came with it.

Are there any effects or techniques I can use to help this problem?!??!
I know I won't be able to eliminate the noise entirely but can I reduce it in any way? I have been going through the effects and can't find anything that helps.

I really, really apreciate any help or suggestions!

Thank you very much,

Josh

You can try cutting the bass frequencies using an EQ and/or multiband compressor. I don't recall if there's factory pre-sets. If it's distorted, your pretty much SOL.

I use the Waves X-Noise and an equalizer, but Sonys Noise Reduction also can do a good job.

Or you can use iZotope RX. With that, you can find ways to eliminate dang near any sound -- and cause minimal artifacts.
