stuttering wav files

I have a problem using the soundforge XP and CD Architect
software for playing back wav files from my hard drive once
I have made a recording. They seem to stutter, but not
always in the same place when I play them back. But if I
use the windows wav file player I have no problems. What I
need to know is that if I burn these files to a cd will the
stuttering also be there. I have had no problems with the
software up until now. Does WIN98 SE edition have anything
to do with this, because I did upgrade to this version.

My system:
P233 cpu
WD 8.4G HD (for recording only)
Fujuitsu 8.4G HD (for os and apps)
64mb ram
SAF 226 SCSI burner
Tosiba 50X CD

Jesse,
I doubt the stuttering will be there if you record. It is a greater
task to play the files unless you have your machine networked or have
"auto insert notification" on under your control
panel-system-devices-cd settings in windows. I has the same issue on
a 233 and used to try to record to a dat that way...but that didn't
work! If it doesn't burn the cd correctly, it'll let you know
