So you thought I was an Apple fanboy...

Here's the counter-proof:

http://www.pomegranatephone.com

This is definitely one of the more interesting web marketing concepts I have ever seen.

Takes a bit of work to get through the features, but very well worth it, including what's shown at the end of your feature review.

That's all I'm saying.

You mean you don't think it's real?

Very clever indeed ;-)

Fixed the link, had a space at the beginning due to a sloppy copy-and-paste.

If you think this is a joke, you didn't see the key part.

Good money was spent on this web site, and it is definitely quite serious.

No junk either.

Sure it will.
I know someone trying to escape from a dictator-run country who needs help getting his cash out of the country.
You'll be very richly rewarded!!
I've also got a lottery ticket that's worth at least $1,000,000.00 but it's held up overseas.
I need someone to pay the small processing fee so that I can get it sent to me.
Any takers on either of these offers?

Mike

Ahh ... i do miss the days when web developers gave you a non-flash option.

Yep, Course, that does verify you are the true Apple fanboy

...the true Apple fanboy?

Sorry, there are many of us, even on this forum for those who are also Vegas lovers.

I use Windows and OS X side-by-side every day, and if either one of them disappears some day I won't get overly stressed.

But as a systems administrator, I have to say I'm more impressed with the OS X tools (of course if I had 3,000 employees, I'd be more impressed with the tools available for Windows).

As an editor and post artist I'm more impressed with the Core system functionality in OS X than the primitive pro video and audio support in Windows. Applications can make up for this to some extent of course, at a cost of development time that could have been better used elsewhere.

But let's face it, they're just tools.

I have favorite tools in many non-computer areas too, but for each there is usually a substitute.

So there isn't the one true religion that proves that all others have false prophets.

Yea, CourseDesign is a true and full-pledged Apple Fanboy! ;-) I used to think he was a "lite" fanboy, just in love with shining objects that said L.A. and S.F. by design. ;-) Although the DARKSIDE of technology was draw him to the "other" side, we all must work hard to save him before his mind becomes mush and Alex Baldwin and Jobs share a morning snack! ;-)

The spoof is great and visually done well! Love the similar of the inquiry from "Star troopers".

Apparently I'm not the only one impressed with OS X's Core audio tools:

Apogee Won’t Do Windows Anymore

[i]Santa Monica, CA (February 27, 2009)—Apogee Electronics has announced that as of 2009, the manufacturer will no longer develop products for the Microsoft Windows platform. Apogee has made this decision in order to focus all research, development and support resources on the Apple platform.

Apogee will continue to develop and manufacture [some of the very best A/D & D/A] converters, microphone preamplifiers, clocking solutions, and supporting technologies that provide solutions for Mac-based production environments.

While the phone is a well-executed "hoax", the projector technology is actually possible. This thing is amazing and it actually exists:

Wow John,

There are at least three inexpensive picoprojectors on the market in the U.S. today, starting at $150, but this may be the only one that is focus-free thanks to its use of a laser beam to project.

Way cool!

Are you really refering to Apple's XCODE programming library calls ? ;-) A little humor....... for an apple core...... invested... ;-) iTunes and the app store, iPod, iPhone are success stories and probably the majority of profit generator for Apple. Which about every business would snatch up, of course, most would probably destroy the business model profit in 2 years.
