Subject:Acid Studio 7 wavy sound Posted by: hrares Date:2/25/2009 1:03:06 PM Hello, I just purchased this program and I use it with an external sound card M-Audio Fast Track Pro to record with a mic. I am recording voices for a puppet theatre and adding some special effects and other audios. The problem is that when I play the project, the sound is somehow wavy, with ups and downs, not very big differences from up and down but you can hear it. It's like a pulse or something and very disturbing after 2-3 minutes of listening. I tried do disable all the effects but still the same. I render it and then it was the same. An mp3 file sounds well in the explorer window but on the track in the project has this wavy style. What is it?

Only way Acid could do this is if you have a tremelo effect as a deffault on track or master FX. Could be something wonky in you mic, soundcard, or driver. Maybe the FastTrack's phantom power is insufficent for your condenser mic, or broken ? geoff geoff
Subject:RE: Acid Studio 7 wavy sound Reply by: MarkWWWW Date:2/26/2009 5:07:57 AM Make sure that all your recorded items are being treated as "One Shots" (not as "Beatmapped" or "Loop"). One-shots will play exactly as recorded (which is what you want). Beatmapped and Loop items will be conformed by Acid to match the project tempo and key (which in your case you don't want to happen). The files I put in ...for ex. an mp3 file with birds sound in the forest I put it on one track for the background sound and when I play it in the explorer player, it plays well but when I listen to it in the project and I mute the others it sound wavy. Then on every track I disabled the FXs is the that symbol and a red line across it. On the card the 48PH Power is on
