Subject:Window maximizing bug/error?

When I have a file opened and maximized within the SF9 workspace and then proceed to open another file, sometimes the new file opens maximized, and sometimes it opens cascaded, forcing the other already-open files to cascade as well. Seems to be a random thing. I would like all my files to open maximized. Is there a way to do this?

A-ha! I knew I had posted this problem before. Good thing I didn't create a new topic. I'm still having this problem. Anyone else? Is there a way to force windows to open fully maximized...all the time, and not randomly?

SF9 always opens new files in the mode of the last 'touched' active window, for me. To keep it like this, always have all windows full-screen. If somehow yours is reverting to cascaded spontaneously, then it may be a bug....

Just checked. For me, it seems to be completely random and not have anything to do with the a specific file. I just opened a succession of three files multiple times. With the first file maximized, sometimes the second file will open maximized and sometimes not. Same with the third.

So not in the same window mode as the last selected window then.

Consistantly the same on 4 separate (XP Pro and XP Home) installs of mine. Sorry , can't think of any suggestions there, apart from maybe a corrupted table in memory or something else weird....

Nope. It's strange...new windows don't open the same way the last selected window. Must be something specific to my configuration. In any case, I appreciate the help.
