Subject:Copy From mp3 file - Paste to New Nothing Plays

About once a month I use Sony Forge Audio Studio 9.0d build 232, to copy a sample from an mp3 file - paste it into a new data window, save it, make sure it plays and then ship it. I have been able to do that with no problem what so ever for months. I was regularly copying from an mp3: 44,100 hz 16 bit mono . . . to a new empty file with the same settings. The audio data pasted in and I could play it immediately. I could also play the file the sample was copied from. Now when I select and copy a sample from the original file and paste to new or create a new file and paste directly to it, no sound waves are seen in the new file, but the window data area turns white. The original file wont play. The cursor wont even blink as active in either window. When I close the original file and re-open it, it plays just fine. I've apparently inadvertently screwed up something here. Sure hope you can help. Mike Claggett P.S. I selected to show my system info but I don't see it in the post when I first posted this. I just tried converting a WAV to MP3 using SF9 9 and set all the tick-boxes (Copyright/Private/Orig. Copy/ Paste To New just fine, so may be an intermittant bug all right. What did you (each ) encode with ? SF ? geoff Message last edited on2/18/2009 6:53:45 PM byGeoff_Wood. |
