I am trying to save a file as wav 48,000hz 24 bit but it will only let me save as wav 48,000hz 16 bit When I try to change the 16 bit to 24 bit, it says that the template has filtered out that option. How can I fix this? Thanks Jan star2bjan@aol.com |

Which version of SF are you using? Have you tried SAVING the customized template using a unique name? Otherwise, here is the "workaround" which will allow you do do what you want: STEP 1: Use the PROCESS -> BIT CONVERTER function FIRST to change the file to 24-bit. STEP 2: Then you should be able to save it in the "customized" way you want to. You can SAVE this new template if you wish. Remember, tho, that SF will "remember" the last format you used to save files as, so make sure you change the "Save As" template back to what you would normally use. BEWARE: If you're working with a 16-bit file, saving it as a 24-but file will NOT make it sound better! It will only make the file larger. I have every version of SF from V4.5 to 9.0e... I am NOT able to duplicate what you're trying to do unless the file is ALREADY a 24-bit file! Hope this helps... JPS Owner / lead engineer Serafin Station Studio B |
