Subject:multiple audio buses in Music Studio 7.0

Last night I set up a bus to route all my drum tracks to. I got them sounding nice together with some compression and a touch of reverb, saved and closed down.

This morning I open the file and get an error message saying "This project contains multiple audio buses, which are not supported in this version of ACID". Well I created those audio buses in this version of ACID so how can they not be supported?

To add insult to injury an annoying pop up window appears telling me if I want to take advantage of this feature I need to buy ACID Pro 6.0. If this is a clever marketing ploy by someone at Sony then think again - I am currently very angry about a) the waste of my time, and b) the blatant attempt at upselling.

How can audio buses not be supported by the same software that let me create them in the first place.

ACID Music Studio does not support sub busses.

What you have run into is a bug that permits you to add them. This is why you can create them in a project, but AMS will not create them and warns you when you reload the project.

It is in no way intentional to force you into an up sell. It is a bug that exposes a feature that is not part of the functionality of the product as specified on our product description or comparison pages.

Until an update is released to correct this problem, you should not create sub busses in your ACID Music Studio created projects.

Thanks
Peter

Any chance there will be an update for M. Studio 7 soon? I was just burned by this 'bug' in a few projects as well.

Also I have a project that refuses to open due to an exception. I temporarily disabled (hid) all VSTs and the actual data in the file is complete and therefore not a corrupted save. Is there a way to have this project file checked for errors?

Thanks,
Andrew
