Does anybody know if it is possible to route a vocoder in AP7? I know it wasn't possible in 6. If possible, how is it done?

Depends on the vocoder, but it certainly was possible in AP6!

Here's how I set up the free Computer Music Vocoder.

1. In the Mixer, insert bus
2. Create two audio tracks, and set both their outputs to the new bus track you created in step 1.
3. Pan one of the tracks hard left, and the other hard right.
4. Edit the FX chain on your insert bus and add CM Vocoder
5. Load your 'Rhythmic' sample on the audio track you panned to the Left.
6. Add a melodic / pad sample to the audio track panned to the right.
7. Press Play :)

Obviously, if you wanted to have more real-time control, you could use one audio and one MIDI softsynth track instead of two audio tracks.

Hope that helps!

Daystar,

Do you mean like a external box routed into acid using the new "input buss" feature???
