Anyone... ACID Pro-7 and Duende PCie? Has anyone implemented a DAW with these tools? I am considering getting one of these for my next generation daw. Thanks, Kevin *** |

I was considering a Duende Mini until I heard about the UAD-2 Solo laptop announced at NAMM. I had a UAD-1 in my old desktop PC, but sold it when I went laptop based. I really miss some of the plugins, particularly the Roland emulations - that Dimension D emulation always worked a treat on my vocals and the Space Echo was brilliant. I also had the Plate 140 reverb which had a very distinctive sound, but I'd guess my IK CSR reverb does a similar job now. Certainly seems to be a wider choice of plugins too for the UAD, and cheaper by the look of it, but that Duende channel strip does look nice! |

I used the Duende FW device, and the results were 100% stunning. Every magazine review marked it simply with 10's all around. I am building a new DAW and ACID is a prt of creative tool box and it is also my back up daw, hence all around interoperability is preferred. |
