What does that mean? I tried to open a project and got a message that said an effect could not be found that I had used in the project. I can load any of my VST's in a new project, no problem there, but if I try to open a previous project I get the 'Cakewalk DX Proxy Error-Cannot locate any VST (paraphrasing). I recently had to do a reinstall of Cakewalk Sonar, but I didn't change anything concerning my VST folders. Thanks in advance for any enlightenment! Milt. Edit: Forgot to mention it's happening in SF 9. Message last edited on2/3/2009 3:05:48 PM byMilt. |

OK, here's the error messages I get: ERROR ' Cakewalk DX Proxy: Couldn't find any VST plug-ins, or config load failed.' Then after I click on OK in that message, I get the next one which says:, 'VST Plug-in Error: A plug-in was requested that appears to be unavailable. Perhaps you uninstalled it? The missing plug-in appears to be (any plug in the project, in this instance, Overtone GEQ), We recommend that if you removed this plug-in from your plug-ins folder, you replace it and run VST config again'. I haven't moved or deleted any plug-ins from my VST folders. When this occurs, Sound Forge in essence locks up, and I have to use the task manager to shut it down. Any help would be appreciated, Milt. |
